Testladen

Module overview

Testladen is configured by fitting extension modules into the six backplane slots. Modules are hot-detected and reported by module list. Each module category below can be ordered in one or more variants; see your order confirmation for the exact configuration.

Extension categories

Power control

Programmable DUT power rails with per-rail switching, voltage setting and current measurement. Includes relays for load switching and inrush-safe sequencing. Typical rails: up to 30 V / 5 A per channel.

Boot & storage

SD/eMMC multiplexing, boot-mode strapping and mass-storage emulation. Lets the appliance flash, swap or corrupt DUT storage and control how the target boots, without physical re-cabling.

Debug

JTAG/SWD debug and trace access for halting, flashing and inspecting the DUT. Level-shifted I/O adapts to the target voltage.

Serial & bus

UART (RS-232/422/485), CAN FD, LIN, SPI and I²C interfaces for stimulating and capturing DUT buses. Independent per-channel level and termination settings.

Network

Automotive and single-pair Ethernet, including 10BASE-T1S segments, for network conformance and load testing of DUTs.

HMI / display capture

HDMI/MIPI display capture plus button and touch injection, for automated verification of a DUT's user interface.

Environmental

Temperature and humidity sensing plus fan and relay control, for soak testing and controlling a small climate/enclosure around the DUT.

Compatibility matrix

Two backplane hardware revisions exist. Check the revision on the chassis label or with testladen-cli status.

⚡ Rev A backplanes do not supply the signalling required by the 10BASE-T1S network and HMI capture modules. Fitting an unsupported module reports error E10 (see Troubleshooting). Contact support about backplane upgrades.
